KINDLE Ñ Rough Translations Þ Molly Giles
Molly Giles's engaging collection of stories was the winner not only of the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction but also of the 1985 San Francisco Bay Area Book Reviewers Association BABRA Awa Nothing memorable about the stories in this collection They weren't awful just nothing to highly recommend either Reading these did help me realize how short story writers such as Alice Munro or Dorthe Nors have simply taken the craft to unreachable heights
Molly Giles Þ Rough Translations EBOOK
Rough TranslationsY Giles writes of the missed connections in life and of the rough translations that we employ when we try to convey through words and gestures what we are thinking and what we want from our loved on Recommended to me by a graduate student who was impressed by them Molly Giles' stories are terrific The writing is deliberate in its pacing the language is perfect and unadorned These stories are excellent examples of smart structuring Most of all these stories are humane Well worth reading both for pleasure and for study
